The circular knitting machine is composed of a frame, a yarn supply mechanism, a transmission mechanism, a lubrication and dust removal (cleaning) mechanism, an electrical control mechanism, a pulling and winding mechanism and other auxiliary devices.
Frame part
The frame of the circular knitting machine consists of three legs (commonly known as lower legs) and a round (also square) table top. The lower legs are fixed by a three-pronged fork. There are three columns (commonly known as upper legs or straight legs) on the table top (commonly known as a large plate), and a yarn frame seat is installed on the straight legs. A safety door (also known as a protective door) is installed in the gap between the three lower legs. The frame must be stable and safe. It has the following characteristics:
1. The lower legs adopt an internal structure
All electrical wiring, tools, etc. of the motor can be placed in the lower legs, making the machine safe, simple and generous.
2. The safety door has a reliable function
When the door is opened, the machine will automatically stop running, and a warning will be displayed on the operating panel to avoid accidents.
Yarn feeding mechanism
The yarn feeding mechanism is also called the yarn feeding mechanism, including yarn rack, yarn storage device, yarn feeding nozzle, yarn feeding disk, yarn ring bracket and other components.
1. Creel
The yarn rack is used to place yarn. It has two types: umbrella-type creel (also known as top yarn rack) and floor-type creel. The umbrella-type creel takes up little space, but cannot receive spare yarn, which is suitable for small enterprises. The floor-type creel has triangular creel and wall-type creel (also known as two-piece creel). The triangular creel is more convenient to move, making it more convenient for operators to thread yarn; the wall-type creel is neatly arranged and beautiful, but it takes up more space, and it is also convenient to place spare yarn, which is suitable for enterprises with large factories.
The yarn feeder is used to wind the yarn. There are three forms: ordinary yarn feeder, elastic yarn feeder (used when spandex bare yarn and other fiber yarns are interwoven), and electronic gap yarn storage (used by jacquard large circular machine). Due to the different types of fabrics produced by circular knitting machines, different yarn feeding methods are used. Generally, there are three types of yarn feeding: positive yarn feeding (yarn is wound around the yarn storage device for 10 to 20 turns), semi-negative yarn feeding (yarn is wound around the yarn storage device for 1 to 2 turns) and negative yarn feeding (yarn is not wound around the yarn storage device).
3. Yarn feeder
The yarn feeder is also called a steel shuttle or yarn guide. It is used to feed the yarn directly to the knitting needle. It has many types and shapes, including a single-hole yarn feeding nozzle, a two-hole and one-slot yarn feeding nozzle, etc.
4. Others
The sand feeding plate is used to control the yarn feeding amount in the knitting production of circular knitting machines; the yarn bracket can hold up the large ring for installing the yarn storage device.
5. Basic requirements for the yarn feeding mechanism
(1) The yarn feeding mechanism must ensure the uniformity and continuity of the yarn feeding amount and tension, and ensure that the size and shape of the coils in the fabric are consistent, so as to obtain a smooth and beautiful knitted product.
(2) The yarn feeding mechanism must ensure that the yarn tension (yarn tension) is reasonable, thereby reducing the occurrence of defects such as missed stitches on the cloth surface, reducing weaving defects, and ensuring the quality of the woven fabric.
(3) The yarn feeding ratio between each weaving system (commonly known as the number of routes) meets the requirements. The yarn feeding amount is easy to adjust (referring to the yarn feeding disk) to meet the yarn feeding needs of different patterns and varieties.
(4) The yarn hook must be smooth and burr-free, so that the yarn is placed neatly and the tension is uniform, effectively preventing yarn breakage.
