Do you know whether the fabric of the clothes you're wearing is cotton or plastic? Nowadays, some merchants are really sneaky. They always package ordinary fabrics to sound high - end. Take washed cotton for example. The name suggests it contains cotton, but in fact, there might not be any cotton in it at all. However, the washing labels on clothes never lie.
Today, I'm going to summarize the advantages and disadvantages of several common fabrics for you, so that you can make informed decisions when buying clothes.
First, there are ice silk and imitation silk. Actually, they are made of polyester. Clothes made of polyester don't fade easily and are very wrinkle - resistant. However, they have poor breathability, so they are more suitable for making outerwear.
Second, modal and Tencel belong to regenerated fibers. The advantage of this type of fabric is that it is skin - friendly and breathable, making it very comfortable to wear next to the skin. But the drawback is that it is not wash - resistant. Therefore, it is often used for intimate clothing.
Third, lamb wool is a great winter warming item. But in fact, it is a blend of polyester and acrylic and has nothing to do with sheep.
Finally, if a piece of clothing contains spandex, never buy the white one because the white color will turn yellow over time.
