Vietnam’s export earnings in July increased by 12.4% year-on-year

In July, Vietnam's textile and clothing export earnings increased by 12.4% year-on-year to $4.29 billion.

In the first seven months of this year, the sector's export revenue increased by 5.9% year-on-year to $23.9 billion.

During this period, fiber and yarn exports increased by 3.5% year-on-year to $2.53 billion, while fabric exports increased by 18% year-on-year to $458 million.

In July this year, Vietnam's textile and clothing export earnings increased by 12.4% year-on-year to $4.29 billion - the first month this year that the industry's exports exceeded $4 billion and the highest value since August 2022.

In the first seven months of this year, the sector's export revenue increased by 5.9% year-on-year to $23.9 billion, the country's General Statistics Office (GSO) said.

From January to July this year, fiber and yarn exports increased by 3.5% year-on-year to $2.53 billion, while fabric exports also increased by 18% year-on-year to $458 million.

According to domestic media reports, during the seven-month period, the country's clothing and textile industry imported raw materials worth $878 million, an increase of 11.4% year-on-year.

Last year, textile and clothing exports reached $39.5 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 10%. This year, the department has set an export target of $44 billion, a year-on-year increase of 10%.
